The iPhone 12 is expected to land in the market very soon and for the first time for Apple, the new iPhone 12 could be joined by as many as three other phones all at the same time, rumored to be called the new iPhone family from Apple – iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Bonus!
iPhone 12 Release Date
Usually new iPhone models arrive like clockwork but this time around Apple itself has now said the iPhone 12 range won’t go on sale until a few weeks later than usual, which likely means sometime in October, according to Techradar.com
Therefore, Apple fans may have to wait until probably October for the iPhone 12 release or if we are lucky, it may be as early as mid to late September. Fingers crossed!
iPhone 12 Specs
While we wait for the Apple’s newest creation, some debate over the specs and design of iPhone 12. But looks like it’ a wait that should be worthwhile, as we’re expecting some big upgrades, including the first 5G iPhone – yes, with 5G networks being rolled out across the world, this upgrade is sure to make the new phones far more future-proof than the iPhone 11 range.
Leaks and rumors also suggest that the iPhone 12 Pro models will get a LiDAR scanner, just like the iPad Pro 2020, and we’ve also heard talk of new screen sizes (starting out at a tiny 5.4 inches and topping out at a big 6.7 inches).
According to macrumors.com, the 2020 iPhone 12 could very well be the smallest iPhone Apple has released since the 4.7-inch iPhone SE. On the other hand, rumored at 6.7 inches, the 2020 iPhone 12 Pro will be Apple’s largest iPhone to date, topping the 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro Max. The two 6.1-inch models will be similar in size to the existing iPhone 11. Interesting!
iPhone 12 Prices
Historically speaking, the iPhone 11 started at $699 / £729 / AU$1,199, the iPhone 11 Pro starts at $999 / £1,049 / AU$1,749, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max starts at $1,099 / £1,149 / AU$1,899. However, the iPhone 12 Prices probably won’t be exactly the same. According to Techradar.com, it might be a notch higher than expected.
According to Twitter leaker @komiya_kj, the 5G iPhone 12 will start at $699 in the US for 64GB of storage. Two previous sources though had suggested that it would cost just $649 for twice as much storage (128GB). According to this latest leak you’d have to pay $749 for that – so $100 more. The price then apparently goes up to $849 for 256GB of storage. Just for reference, $699 works out at roughly £540 or AU$975, although a straight conversion is unlikely to be a reliable guide to prices in those regions. Exact iPhone 12 prices, only time will tell!
